A Win, A Sufferfest and A Disaster.
Another EndureIT event is in the books! Sorry for the blogging hiatus, but race week is always mayhem. This race was the nicest to date - everyone that started, finished. We had an abundance of fantastic volunteers, great sponsors and athletes with phenomenal attitudes. The humidity broke for race day and the sun shone brightly!
Now there's just a lot of paperwork leftover and lots and lots of my own training and racing to get in before the final EndureIT event of the season.
In non-athletic news, I spent yesterday afternoon (after a nice ride and run) at a big party honoring my Mom for lifetime achievement and contribution to the arts as a performer, teacher and director. Hundreds of people performed, spoke and shared stories of how my Mother changed their lives. Tears were streaming down my face. I know how amazing my mother is, but it was truly satisfying to see her be recognized by so many others. GO Mom!
I promise to figure out how to get photos into my blog posts here, I have tons and tons to share, so be prepared for when I finally DO figure it out!
